This frontier was chosen based on my personal interest in gestation period and its many implications. The article entitled, Effect of calcium postscript in pregnancy on maternal bone outcomes in women with a low calcium intake was knowing by Landing MA Jarjou, M Ann Laskey, Yankuba Sawo, Gail R Goldberg, Timothy J Cole and Ann Prentice. The research was submitted to the Medical Research Council on January 15, 2010 and sure May 4, 2010. The research was conducted in The Gambia, West Africa. The composition was designed to test whether a greater calcium intake in pregnancy has a beneficial effect on maternal bone outcomes after delivery and during the first year of lactation for women with low calcium intake. It was concluded that calcium supplementation in pregnant women with low calcium intakes may disrupt metabolous adaptation and may not be beneficial to maternal bone health.
However, further studies will have to be through with(p) to determine if such effects persist long term or bring forth compensatory changes in bone structure.
