This movie is an incredible presentment of the ability of a country to fight against oppression from evil. Mel Gibson does a wonderful job playing a character who fights with temper for his country and for the memory of his wife. It is uncommon to find a movie where the main character fights with as much feeling and emotion as William Wallace does. He is an intelligent man and would not wee fought in a war unless it was for a meaningful cause. to begin with the death of his wife he is approached by some of the villagers to fight against the English but refuses to because he doesnt feel it is necessary.

The other characters in the movie along with the setting of the movie both added to its quality. thither was a large number of emotions displayed by the characters, which kept the movie very interesting.
